A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself, infect your computer and cause serious damage to the system and/or data. When in network a true virus spreads from one computer to another, just like a biological virus, through a portable device such as CD,  DVD, USB device or external hard drive. It seriously affects the performance of systems by inflicting damage and causing the clean files to corrupt and malfunction.
